The alloy provides excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation and high resistance to pitting and crack corrosion. Mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 515 MPa (75 ksi), a yield strength of 205 MPa (30 ksi) and an elongation of 40%. It provides excellent weldability and is used in power plants, petrochemical industries and food processing.
